MONTY NELSON

Monty's mortgage career started in 1991 at Weyerhaeuser Mortgage as an originator. Just five years later he was recruited by George Mason Mortgage as a producing branch manager. After 22 years in origination, Monty moved into executive management. In 2013 he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Business Development in Virginia. During this position, Monty was tasked with leading the growth of George Mason Mortgage into Southern Virginia and the Carolinas. This leadership generated approximately $1 billion dollars in growth in just one (1) year.

Monty resides in the suburbs of Richmond, VA with his wife. His strengths include: leading growth initiatives, helping originators exceed their goals, excitement and passion for the industry.
